Hope Rescue Mission for Girls' Medical Clinic

Hope Rescue Mission for Girls'

Medical Clinic

Investing in the completion of the Hope Rescue Mission for Girls' Medical Clinic is a critical step in addressing the urgent medical needs of girls who have suffered from gender-based violence, particularly those affected by "cutting season"—a local term for female genital mutilation (FGM). This clinic will provide life-saving care, including maternal health services for young mothers, HIV care, mental health services and counseling, emergency medical treatment for girls recovering from FGM-related injuries, and long-term reproductive health support.

Project Implementation:

  • Completion of the medical clinic to provide specialized healthcare for survivors of gender-based violence.

  • Equipping the clinic with essential medical supplies, diagnostic tools, and treatment facilities.

  • Hiring medical professionals trained in trauma-informed care and reproductive health services.

  • Establishing community outreach programs to educate and prevent FGM and gender-based violence.

Funding Goal: $28,000 The funding will cover:

  • Construction Costs: Finalizing the medical clinic infrastructure to provide a safe and functional space for patient care.

  • Medical Equipment and Supplies: Ensuring the clinic is equipped with essential tools and medications for emergency and long-term treatments.

  • Operational Support: Funding initial staff salaries and resources to sustain daily medical operations.

By funding this clinic, we are not only ensuring access to essential healthcare for survivors but also strengthening a sustainable and safe support system for at-risk girls in the community.
